So.. yesterday was my 19th birthday. Kinda strange as it was my first birthday away from family. It started off pretty good. Got to sleep in, then talk to some really good friends. Yeahh.... so..
Worked 13 hours today. Kinda tiring, but at least I have 7 hrs of overtime this week. Tomorrow is my birthday, so that'll be interesting. First birthday away from my family. Might get to go racing.. not sure yet.

Anyway. Nothing else really to say. My welded finger seems to be healing sorta. at least it doesn't hurt.

So, today was interesting. I reported to work at 6:30am for a 10 hour shift driving gators.. well, got to work, and dispatcher said there were more TVOs (Test Vehicle Operators) today than he expected, so there was nothing left for me to drive. Great, woke up at 5am for nothing ( Read more... )

So... Today, I was not driving gators. Instead I ended up doing some wiring work on this truck we're testing that has a large capacitor in it (capable of over 2000 amps, 30 volts). Found out that that is enough to arc weld... which creates enough heat to fry skin ( Read more... )

So.. yesterday and Today I ended up being a TVO (test vehicle operator) at work. Got to drive around John Deere Gators for a total of 17 hours. Kinda nice for a change, but I wouldn't want to do it every day. Gets pretty monotonous after a few hours. Besides that I've got a lovely sunburn on my arms, and face.
