I want to create an open forum, right now, for all you single people out there to tell me and everyone else why you HATE valentines day, and what could be done to better the situation. then again, I may be one of the only single ones left.

No, your not one of the only single ones left. But V-Day is not so bad alone. Just hang out with one of your single friends, then it won't seem bad. eh?

I don't think the day sucks, I just find it pointless for me. The Day was created for couples in love with eachother. But I am sans a partner therefore the day is useless to me.
Though I am sure there will be more people having sex tonight in the US than most days.

Yesterday, I spent $60 on a dozen roses for Mom, Dad, and Air-head. I HATE that this holiday is just another tool to make everyone in marketing and advertising's life easier. What to do? I doubt there will be any reversion in this glorious capitalist state, so I plan on clinging tight to Thanksgiving Day while I still can...

And I hate that it's exclusionary. EVERYONE should be able to enjoy a holiday, man.

I think at one time it meant something very special but it was ruined by the consumer people. For Valentines, day you should do it for the right reasons for the people you care about.

I like Valentine's Day. I've never had a problem with being single on this day...I think it's a cool opportunity to show your "love" for someone. My parents always give me little cards and candy...I give thme cards...wish people I know a happy day...I think it's a nice holiday.

You don't have to be taken to be loved!
