'I just want to rip my arm off so I've got something to throw at her'

Feb 05, 2006 18:25

I realise that others have made the same point several days ago and far more eloquently than this will be but well, I'm tired and grouchy and I just have to say...

Fuck off Lowri.

Frankly, I don't trust a man who says he swings both ways, unless he is a spotty teenager who hasn't sorted himself out yet. Oaten is 41 and Hughes is 54. If they think ( Read more... )

if you ever catching me prefacing an opinion on sexuality by saying 'my best friend's a lesbian'...
I don't believe you ever have or will but rest assured I will step in with a blunt instrument if required :)

I take it you've seen my mini rant on this topic over at my journal *seethes some more*

It is astonishingly stupid drivel, and one of those opinions she justifies by arguments entirely drawn up in her own mind rather than based upon evidence about childless politicians. It's annoying that Lowri Turner gets to voice this nonsense, what on earth does she know about anything? What qualifies her to tell us what to think?

(By the way, hi, noticed you'd 'friended' me and the liberal/Independent references in your info were enough for me to return the gesture.)

Yes, I 'friended' you because I've seen you around on livejournal_uk and I'm interested in what you have to say. Glad you seem similarly inclined about my journal. :)

Hurray for lesbians,

I said all I'm ever going to say about this, because it just makes me a blind fury.

My only point is - if having 2.4 children makes you a natural at running public services, why are Kelly, Blair, and Brown bloody awful?

Then why is the welfare state and the NHS in such a mess?

Before I am accused of prejudice, I should say that not only are some of my best friends gay...
Starting with a phrase like that, you just jnow it ain't going to be good.

This has nothing to do with what they do in bed but everything to do with their lives in general.
When I read that, iot was just... wow. The sex isn't a problem, it's just their personalities and everything else that makes them people.

It's like she's saying that everyone who isn't straight has no knowledge of the 'real world' - like small, naive, children, that they live in their own fantastical little bubbles, divorced from reality.

It's just infuriating that that was actually printed, because it blatantly crap, and it's so bloody patronising.

how the hell does Tony Blair (and similar) know what my concerns as a (young, intelligent, polyamorous, 'sexually deviant', female) citizen are?
I think that the majority of politicians don't know how to relate any young person.

Just don't even get me started on that bit. I'm still seething about this. She's just... gah! *runs out of swearwords*
