This is Day #2 that I am home sick with pink eye/cold. This is ridiculous, I feel like such a loser. I don't think I've ever in my adult life taken 2 days off sick. In fact, I can't even remember when I have taken one day off sick. Not at least since I moved to Virginia, I think its a first in at least a year.

Home sick with pink eye and a bad bad cold. I should be so grateful for the rest--plus I have so much work I need to catch up on. Why is it then that I am dissappointed about not going to school today? Do I feel I am neglecting my duty as a teacher or do I actually love teaching those kids??

Normally around my house, spoons are in short supply. A few weeks ago I went to Walmart and bought a bundle of spoons to replenish the supply of disappearing spoons.
