Sad Times

dog_father's mother passed away on Wednesday. She had a congestive heart failure episode back in March and never really recovered. She simply got weaker and weaker; after seeing all her children again and saying goodbye, she announced that what she really wanted was to die, so she could be with her husband and her mother again. After that, she went to sleep

It does seem to be the spring for it, though a friend of my mother's commented that spring seems to bring it on with older folks sometimes.. it's as though they don't have the oomph for another cycle of life and so they slip away at the beginning of the ramp up.
