Welcome back, good-lookin'!

As someone who waited ten years too long to start school for the things I wanted to do, my advice (FREE!) is do it. Don't let it pass you by; you only have one opportunity at life. Losing your job could be a gift, in the form of a kick in the pants.

As someone who is continuing in school now, I will also offer that it is never too late to get on it. You may feel like you can't make a decision now, but you can start the leg work, and see which doors open. One thing is guaranteed: if you don't make your own decisions, they will be made for you.

Those dilemmas are the sort that hound us throughout life. It's just that you are at a crossroads, so the weight of the decision is more pronounced. Which way to go? Do you weight your decision on factors of happiness and long-term satisfaction? Do you go a route that means less income in the near-term? Do you dive back into something you don't enjoy because you can command a bigger salary?

(sigh)

Crossroads can suck it.

But, you have the network of support. You know you do, J.D.

Don't rush your decision too much. And make one you think you can live with (or, perhaps, don't you think you can't live with).

Welcome back! And sorry about the job loss.

The dilemma you're in is never a fun one. But I've always thought that even the highest paid job available is still crap if you don't enjoy it. If you have the opportunity to go back to school and train for something you really enjoy, it will all be worth it. A friend of mine did the same thing, and now at 41 he is graduating with a masters in hospitality management. And he has some interesting job offers on the table. Also, a variety of financial aid is available to help you pay the bills.

Ian told me about what happen...sorry to hear you lost your job <3

As for as work as long as you're not hurting to bad maybe you should go back to school for a bit. I wouldn't take anything to long but maybe teach you a different skill or something.

You never know...you might make more money in the end which will allow you to have more time for ian and jenna
