OMG, I bougt a paramotor!
It's the cheapest and simplest form of powered flight, and I've been wanting to try it for years. I did a two day paragliding course a few years ago (same type of parachute-like wing, but no motor), and it was fun, but I like the idea of buzzing about at low altitude, like this (not mad aerobatics as in the link above). The Buzz is Growing
The Tesla Model 3 is finally going into production, and looking great - I love the look of the minimalist interior, although I'll reserve judgement on the giant touchscreen until I try it (not that I'll be doing that any time soon). Born to Run
I took my dog to Te Henga (aka Bethells Beach) for a run on Sunday. We love it out there. The main beach stretches for just over a kilometer between spectacular cliffs pocked with caves - some of them very large. When we last saw Our Hero, he had unfortunately been forced to crash his brown Subaru and was in the process of transferring useful parts to a very similar white Subaru.... And now, the saga continues.

Hybrids Come Of Age
Toyota has recently announced a hybrid Corolla model, to go with their Prius and hybrid Camry models. The Corolla will be a few thousand more than the equivalent petrol-only model, and is supposed to provide an economy of 4.1 L per 100 km. Touching Heaven
I took my dog for a walk along Te Henga - Bethel's Beach. It's a magical place, a one kilometer stretch of dark sand locked between jutting cliffs of ancient volcanic lava.
