No Pic For You!

This is from the Wikipedia site " Some will say these days that The Casualties have "sold out," others will argue 'till the death they have lost none of their punk values. The controversy will go on forever and ever with no resolution. The Casualties, however, in their own words have never claimed to be doing anything more than making music that ( Read more... )

if you are a fan of the music it is the "rockstars" purpose to please the fans...he should have at least given you a reason for not taking a picture...like my tooth is missing or something..I hate it when "rockstars" pull the fucking rockstar card from their hand...it just makes me think you pretentious fuck...I want you to fail..I will not support your band ever again...I will say what happen and what a dick you have become....I had something similar happen to me from that asshole from the flock of seagulls....he copped a tude on me and I was like fuck you pal...your days are numbered..you old bald fart.

Most of the people in other bands I have talked to have been really cool to me so I was suprised. I didn't even want to talk to anyone else in the band because of what happened with Jorge. I can understand why he didn't want his pic taken, but he could have had the decency to say a few words to me. After I walked away in disbelief anger kicked in and I almost wanted to go back to him and say hey shithead I was going to buy some merchandise but since you're such an ass supporting your band is the last thing I want to do, but I thought that would be too much like a two year old throwing a tantrum. And I did buy a few things (because I loved the pint glass), but that will be the last time I do that. I had a similar incident with the singer from the UK Subs. I went up to thank him for playing in my city and he just blankly stared at me resembling a semi toothless lion. The nicest bands I have gone to see are usually the ones where not many people are at the show. But they play as though there are 500 people there and seem to have a great ( ... )

I'm surprised about the UK Subs if your bad experience was with Charlie Harper - I found him to be one of the most unpretentious and genuinely decent guys I've met. They played a show at an old pub down the road from where I live about 10 years ago; the place could only hold about 100 people maximum, and the stage was only about 18 inches higher than the floor!

After the show, Harper just went and sat at the bar for a drink and just started chatting to me as he'd noticed my SNFU shirt, telling me about some show he'd played with them years ago up a mountain where it had snowed so hard everyone got stuck for hours at the venue...

Overall, though, some people are just wankers - it's just a shock when someone you respect turns out to be one.

I've got my internet feed back now so I'll post that long-delayed update sometime soon!
