While looking though The Boston Public Library's Flickr account, I found this picture, and decided to share with you all the reasons I find it funny. Just for fun. I see a lot of these sorts of pictures! Everything is symbolic sure, but let's do this anyway.

You have the best historical art analysis. Also, "tits out" made me laugh far more than it should. I blame becoming acquainted with the phrase "tits up" earlier today as a Briticism for "broken." I'm in England studying abroad and this kind of silly phraseology that we can exchange is priceless.

Um... in the tits-out painting, why has someone stolen a fallen solider's pants?! I see bush. This is most undignified.

edit: and the live guy farthest to the left is checking out said fallen soldier's exposed crotch. WHAT THE HELL, DELACROIX.
