My father passed away on Monday after being diagnosed with lung cancer 10 weeks ago. We didn't expect him to succumb to the illness so quickly, but it happened. It rained all week, couldn't do much outside. Today was real nice though, could have gone for a picnic or something but our backyard is a bit of mess. The chicken coup we made is a real botch job, scraps of sheet metal, odd bits of iron posts & wood. Peter's dad had a bird avery he no longer used but it's quite large. Anyway, today we got up early at 8am (early for us on a long weekend) and was at Peter's dad house at 10, got the avery distmantled, loaded it into Peter's van and got it home. ( Read more... )

Got up late this morning, 20 minutes to get organized & almost called in sick but I managed to get myself together. I think it was the Arnotts full O' fruit biscuit that fueled me up and thank goodness for decent take away coffee.
