Breaking Dawn

Aug 06, 2008 04:15

I need to start with the 'proud parent' feeling I have now. I managed to persuade Erin to read Twilight, she started reading it Monday night and couldn't put it down. Now she has gfinished it and we have a scheduled phone squee fest sorted for tomorrow between 12 and 2pm (when she is on her lunch break at work... out buying New Moon). Next on the ( Read more... )

OMG, the Jazz thing killed me! lmao. Seriously, what?! And I honest to god laughed out loud when he called Jacob 'son'. What in the holy crap. It's like she was playing a game trying to get everyone as out of character as possible and still have a storyline.

How unbelievable (and I mean that literally) was it they didn't realise the baby wanted blood? I mean come on now. And I was sad it didn't seem like there was much Edward in the book, like he was THERE but just, he wasn't really in it that much, and I did not feel like he bonded with the loch ness monster at all. Overall I didn't really like it (can you tell? haha), I just feel like it was so detached from the other ones, like a totally different story. :/

And omg, I'm sorry my comments are always like half a page!

When I first read 'Jazz' I was like 'wtf, did I miss something in the first THREE books?' XD. The Son bit was taking it too far, man. There was no need for that, I think I actually might have cringed.

I hated how everything seems to just change, there was no adjusting, it just changed with a snap. Suddenly, Bella could control herself 'round Humans, Charlie wasn't asking any questions...WHERE THE HELL WAS EDWARD IN MOST OF THE THIRD BOOK?

Reading back through the book the 'burning man' gets me everytime, I wish that if it was going to change perspective that maybe Edward could have been heard, it would have been interesting to know what he was thinking; the conflict in his head *sigh*

I am glad that we didn't get Edward's POV, because I think with how much he hates himself for what was happening to Bella, he could've gotten annoying and I don't want to think of him like that! I think Jacob's was a good in between; we didn't have the whining of Bella or Edward's self-loathing but we could still follow what was happening to both of them. Also, I kindasorta of love Jacob now. :o

You love him? :o gtfo! XD. nah I see what you mean. maybe I am just trying to compensate for the fact that Edward wasn't there enough with me wishing that we had his POV. I am really looking forward to Midnight Sun though, I have read the first chap and it looks immense.

I agree with your last paragraph so much! Especially the part about Eclipse.

I have to agree Jenna, more Jasper would have been cool XD.

I also agree with the imprinting thing, it seems like SM was trying too hard for everyone to have a happy ending. Cockblocked? LOL.

I don't really think Breaking Dawn was unnessasary, could you imaging the shit that would have started if SM had of left it at Eclipse? There would be uproar. But I think a lot of the stuff in BD could have been finer tuned/made better/cut out/explained more, a lot - if not too much - was left to your own imagination. Honeymoon anyone?

*shields eyes and furiously scrolls*

NOT LOOKING! NOT LOOKING!! lol. So if there are typos here, you are gonna have to deal with it! XD

I am loving the icon. :baby: I definitely prefer him as 'Edward', and not just Robert Patterson..

I tried convincing Hannah a bit already.. *shifty* she has loads of books to read for school, but she's definitely workable! XD

Pattinson...but I'll let it go XD.

I know what you mean about preferring him as Edward, because I have such an edwatf fixation it makes it hard for me now to see Rob as anything else. Though you saying that you dont like that he looks so smiley in real life, you have a real issue with people looking happy lmao!
