Church votive, of course. ;) or more like the lens flare filter in Photoshop...
I don't know what words Max J. used, but "lumière" is a theme in my silly novel, light, knowledge, etc... It's not a novel, it's bad French Resistance fan fiction.
Can I ask you something? How do you stay motivated to write? When I actually sit down to do it I get sucked into it and the words sort of fall onto the page (keyboard). I just can't seem to find the time to do it. Having the wi-fi doesn't help. I tend to surf whilst I'm supposed to be writing. I'll need to check a fact and then I'm off on a tangent.
If I'm in a first draft (which is the hardest part for me) I won't feel completely rested until it's finished. I'll take time off now and then in the middle to think (or just run away) but I know I won't be happy again until I at least have a completed rough draft

I know what you mean about having a draft. I have a condensed version, but it's not the same. I have been interested in all sorts of things over the years, but this "silly novel" has stayed with me since high school. I don't think I'll get rid of it until I finish it. I have only really been serious about it over the last four years or so
