Our guests Ilya and Shirin left this morning for Yosemite. We went to  a car rental, got a car, test-drove it back home, made sure everything's OK, and said good-bye. The car and price they got was actually better than they could expect (foreigners both below 25 with no insurance). I feel good I was able to help them a little with some advice. OK, I finished 4 chapters and more than half thru the 5-th - the most difficult so far, b/c there they present JS as an object language with all OOD stuff, which is initially pretty strange for any 'old-fashoined' programmer.  But I soldier on and don't let myself worry what will come out of it from a practical side.

Today was a good day in my book - not because something particularly good happened. No, because I was productive and can't really reproach myself most of the time. I made quite a few new pics with my new camera (Nikon S630) and they do look better. Started uploading them using photobucket, and this time really disliked it - awkward, not intuitive, and seemingly impossible to change after the post.
