Good morning everyone!!!

Question:

What do you look for in music?

Do you look for lyrics?

Is it a nice beat that gets you going?

If it's thrash and angry will you hold it close to your heart?

What does it for you?

I was unaware that race made music more or less enjoyable.

You know, if you are so horribly bothered by so many things in this community, perhaps you should leave. I haven't seen you contribute anything productive in a very long time and your negative attitude is only killing the open atmosphere some of us have worked hard to create.

he kisses music elitists' asses and makes fun of Creed fans. these are his hobbies. he's caught somewhere in the middle in the musical universe.

I look for lyrics mainly. A truely great lyric that hits in my heart is what makes me love a song. However, having a good beat to a song is important as well. It is what made me love so many of the songs that I consider to be my favorite such as "simple man" by skynard. Wow, what a great beat and guitar sounds, plus, the lyrics are awesome as well. This is what truly makes a great song

Simple Man is indeed a great song, and one of my favorites as well!

I have a strong relation to that song because I am a very simple man. -Although my mother didn't grind it into me like his mother did in the song...But I am naturally a very simple kind of person...So yeah, I have a strong relation to that song!

For me it can be a little of everything or a lot of one thing. For example, I like Smile Empty Soul's lyrics even though I don't like their music much, so I listen anyway. Lyrics were enough to make up for the lack of music. I think both are important but a song can be good if one element is lost and another takes up the slack.

I don't think I look for any one thing inparticular. If it sounds good, then I listen to it. I prefer lyrics over anything, but unlike the beautiful Selene, I can't get past bad music to be able to enjoy awesome lyrics. However, that doesn't go both ways. Typically I can get past horrid lyrics to listen to amazing music, unless it comes out of shit bands like Cannibal Corpse.

Ok, I can't get past bad music, but if the music is at least tolerable, I will listen to it.

I likes your Maynard icon.

For me i think it needs to be a little bit of both. If i don't like the lyrics, or can't get into them, it's hard for me to like it, but not impossible. But, at the same time, if i don't like the beat the lyrics can't it much better. But, since this depends on my mood, it's really hard to tell.
