Two bands that have recently started to grow on me: System of a Down and Dark New Day.

Has anyone heard much of either of their stuff? If so, what's your opinion on them?

System has their moments. I've never heard of the other band though.

What I've heard of DND is great. I don't know much about them though.

As far as SOAD goes... they're amazing in my opinion. I NEED the new cd! grr..

You should check out their older stuff for sure..

We had a little questionare that asked if System of a down was goign to save prog, and people said yes.

I had to severly disagree with them, for the simple fact that their new CD is 11 songs in 32 minutes.

But my opinion about the band in general is they are damn good I love listening to their music while I am crusing, good stuff. If you have their new CD, it is damn good, but short. The best thing about their new CD is rolling up to a light and listening to 'Violent Pornography' track 7, especially the bridge...

Yeah, I started that questionaire thing. It seemed more people called them crap, and at the time I sort of agreed. They really really grew on me. And I heard Violent Pornography on these Music Choice channels we get with Comcast. Channel 410, digital cable.

Let me revise my previous statement.

I really liked Toxicity (the album). There are several really good songs on it; 'Prison Song', 'Forest', 'Science', 'Aerials'. I also know a few songs from their self titled album, but the only title I can think of right now is 'Sugar'. Tis a good song.

I haven't been impressed with much they've come out with lately. I haven't purchased either of the newer albums because I haven't been impressed with what has been played on the radio or what my friends have said about it. Just didn't sound appealing.

So, in my opinion, they have their moments. Or shall I say, had their moments. I would suggest sticking with the old stuff.

BYOB sucks, it is catchy that why it is on the radio the rest of the album is sooooooo much different iti s awsome.

Well, I decided to download a few songs. I got Aerials, Toxicity, BYOB, Cigaro, and Sugar. Toxicity is such an amazing song. System is this weird band that I never really liked, but they grew on me due to their raw energy and raw talent. They may not be the most talented musicians, but they are powerful and just awesome. Serj has to have the coolest voice ever.
