One state, two state; red state, blue state. But Ohio is plaid.

Okay, as someone who voted for Badnarik for president, who supports Bush's tax cuts and gay marriage, who is pro-choice and anti-gun control, I feel like I have the right to say this to all of you.

THE WORLD IS NOT ENDING.Honestly, if I'd HAD to vote for one of the two, gun to my head, I probably would have gone for Bush, but JUST barely. Trust ( Read more... )

THANK YOU!

*sigh* i mean yeah i voted for kerry, yeah i wish he had won... but in an election one of two things happen: you win or you lose.

how people are stunned that *gasp* someone lost is beyond me.

but anyway. :) yay for people who voted for who they wanted to win and who arent whining and bitching about how unfair it is that majority has to rule. LOL

I heart you dearly, Amy. Seriously, I know we don't speak that much, but the last few weeks you've made a couple posts that made me go "Thank you, God, somebody with some sense!" And I just wanted you to know that, and I'm glad I made you feel the same way.

Like I said, I voted for Badnarik. Along with... around 250,000 other people. In the country. I didn't have a horse in this race anyway. But my parents and most of my family are Republican, and I was raised Republican, and I really don't like all the demonizing of them going on.

I respect that your feelings are being hurt in this situation, but take into consideration the people who you're talking about, the people you're telling to "shut up." Maybe their feelings are hurt by decisions that may or may not be made tonight. Perhaps it's not always about the presidency but about laws and measures that are being passed around the country that will infringe on their basic human rights.

I don't know, I just don't think that telling us to shut up is really a way to get through to people. I don't know what your intention was with this post, really, so forgive me if you just wanted to vent. But when I read it, it only angered me. Like I said, I respect your point of view, but all I'd ask is the same in return. I feel how I feel, and that's what I post, as you just did as well. It's what makes LJ so great - the vast differences coming together in one place.

Thank you! People who voted shouldn't complain. No one should complain. They lost, we won, whatever. They put up a good fight and I respect those who went out there and voted for whoever the hell. Y'alldeserve a pat on the back for keeping our republic goin'.

amen sistah! I've been saying the same thing! The folks that bitch and cry and whine about the possibility of Kerry not winning are driving me crazy. It's a figurehead. Kerry will not save your life or make this country a better place. One man, one figurehead, can have some pull in the gov't, but I swear the world won't explode if Bush is president. Bush didn't make the people vote against gay marriage. There are just people in the world you can't change. I shared my views on the subject to every person I could without being preachy, but they still voted against gay marriage. A president can't cause a country to become more open minded just like I couldn't.

So thank you. I couldn't have found a better way to tell all the screamers that your live is NOT over if Kerry isn't president. Bush is not the ultimate evil. He's a guy. They're all crooked. I should have voted for Optimus Prime.

THANK YOU.

I'm getting sick and tired of reading how much of an idiot I am for voting for Bush. THAT is making me sick to my stomach. I never once critisized anyone for voting for Kerry. The JJB made me absolutely livid last night that I had to leave.
