My mum got hit by a car last week. She was in a bank at the time. Apparently you don’t need to be able to tell the difference between a accelerator and the brake to have a license. Nor do you have to have normal human compassion after you’ve not only hit someone, forced them through a glass wall but pinned them between your car and another wall. It ( Read more... )

I'm horrified Bec, that's awful, lots of healing thoughts for your Mum. I hope the driver who hit her gets it back threefold.

I started to write a comment about my experiences with the RBH Orthopedic Ward v. the Renal Ward but you covered it off completely with the 'other world' comment, (and it was turning into a rant).

I don't mean to lecture but from my experience... When she gets off her back-slab/pins/cast/surgical leg covering don't let her take no for an answer when it comes to Physio, she HAS to have it even if she has a doctor that doesn't seem to give a shit. Make sure she milks every last drop of physio out of them it's what'll make the difference to her quality of life in the long run.

I don't usually suggest this... but have you guys considering bring in Today Tonight - the hospital sounds like it deserves the bad publicty to get off its backside...
