Obviously we've all been pulled in from different worlds. Or different points in time, I guess, for some of you, and I've been wondering, where is everyone else from? What's your world like? That sort of thing.

Well...what's your world like?

It's sort of a broad question, isn't it?

It is. That's sort of the point.

It's... mundane, generally. We have cars, and computers and phones, but no vampires or people with unusual abilities or wizards. Nothing too out of the ordinary.

It is. Because you're telling me of the types of people you have and the technology. But is that how you want me to answer, too? [Chuckle.]

With technology and people?

With whatever you think is important.

Are there books about Harry Potter in your world?

Yes.

Are you from the same world as Martha? The television one?

I don't think so, but I suppose we could be. I'd never met her before coming here.

I'm from somewhere perfectly ordinary. No magic. No monsters except human ones. It is just from what most here would say is "long ago."

How long ago?

A little more than 200 years, I think. It was 1794.

It's 2001 where I'm from, so, yes, a little more than 200 years.

Do you remember that last port? That's a lot like where I'm from.

Among other things. Space stations and space ships and paraguns.

I don't think it was the exact same place though.

What was different about it?
