reading about somalia today puts me in mind of yet another version of pandora's box. recovered american passports? on which people? why would soldiers going into battle need passports? who would actually need passports? aid workers & relief organizations, perhaps? the ethiopian 'government'--is that what we're calling it these days? i don't know ( Read more... )

work, somalia, war, blatant stupidity

well, i think leaving is too much to hope for. he's been told he won't have to change his desk location unless he wants to, b/c his team is distributed. he said, 'i don't know. i don't know if i want to go moving & working with a bunch of people i don't know when i could just easily stay here near my work friends, like you & the other people over here.'

anyway, i would prob'ly miss him once he left, as he's the only person i talk to some days, but i won't miss the complaining. i just wish he had more of a sense of personal boundaries at work... *sigh*

anyway, thanx for the other... it felt okay good... :)
