I just wanted to make everyone aware that Christmas is exactly two months from today (61 days if your counting, but who is?). i agree with you becca! working in retail made me a whole lot more willing to celebrate christmas early. i never lost my love for all the little preparations even though we always had our christmas books out by now... I was actually looking at the christmas card selection at the wegs a couple days ago :) what a wonderful season!

yeah, even i'm softening my hard line on boycotting companies that bring the christmas cheer before thanksgiving. last year proved that i would pretty much have to boycott all retail stores.

You would definetly have to boycott all retail stores. You wouldn't even be able to go grocery shopping! Nathan and I were at Stop + Shop a week or so ago and he almost had a heart attack when he saw the giant inflatable snow globe up in the middle of the halloween candy!

I personally feel that Christmas shopping can be done all year. After all, you never know when you'll find that perfect thing or that great deal again. HOWEVER, I don't think there should be any decorations until the day after Thanksgiving. I tend to weaken when it comes to Christmas music, but ideally that shouldn't happen until Black Friday either. But buying gifts for people can be fun for the whole year *grin*
