I thought tonight's speeches were inspiring and eloquent. I thought John McCain showed an amazing about of tact, grace, and respect. I didn't think McCain would ever inspire me, and while I had respected him I'd lost some of that in recent months--but he has redeemed himself and I actually believe him that he'll support Obama ( Read more... )

Barack and Michelle are amazing and I can't wait until they're in the White House.

I, too, was in awe when he said "gay or straight."

Senator McCain's speech was a lot more graceful than I would expect, and I wouldn't mind it if Obama asked him to be a part of the Cabinet. Obama's speech was so INCREDIBLY INSPIRING that I really want to go change the world.

A victory for the rest of us "unreal Americans" and for the Millenials and for the America! I think the awesomeness is best summarized by the impromptu and large Obama celebration party outside of Bush's White House.

MSNBC.com is still following California. So far it's winning horribly.

Obama used the "gay or straight" line when he was here in Cincinnati on Sunday, and I just about died of happiness. Finally, a Democratic candidate who doesn't take us for granted! It's one of the many reasons I adore him.

And omg he and Michelle and the girls are too wonderful. He's buying them a puppy!

so I shouldn't complain too much that it was still in binaries (gay or straight)? I was a little surprised he didn't say anything about people who are a mix of various combinations of the races/ethnicities he mentioned.

Honestly I think if he'd stopped to mentioned everyone he never would have gotten past that part of his speech.
