This week’s tutorial focussed on Samuel Palmer’s “Letter to Alexander Gilchrist”. In this letter Palmer outlines his opinion about William Blake’s personality, his life and his ideals.

Throughout his letter, Palmer comes across as a more conservative Christian compared to Blake. And Palmer suggests that Blake takes on the scripture, but alters it ( Read more... )

In the tutorial this we looked at Allen Ginsberg’s “My Vision of Blake”.
The first paragraph involves Ginsberg knowing the sound of Blake’s voice despite never actually hearing it previously. And the second paragraph describes how the emotion and experience are more influential than the actual words Ginsberg is reading.
