it's so cool that you have that connection w/your grandfather. maybe it's silly but i'm not close to my grandparents, and never really was- i didnt see them when i was little. so i appreciate knowing that kids can write their grandparents random emails and such. i dont really know how to describe it. warm fuzzies are all i got.

yeah, my dad did that "tape record you talking about your life" for my grandpa. if you can arrange it, you definitely should do it.

i live next door to my grandpa.. and i am no where near as close with him as i should be, considering we're so... close... but your grandpa sounds awesome.. it made me want to talk to mine more... but that'd be weird..
