Randomity
- I have jury duty on Friday. No idea at this moment, four days ahead of time, how I'm going to get two kids to school, one to daycare, and make it back into the city by 8:15 am. What was I thinking not trying to get out of it?

Miscellany
- We were without water for 24 hours over Thursday and Friday. Why is it that you feel dirtiest, thirstiest, and have to pee the most when there is no water?
- The Explorer got a flat tire yesterday, in the driveway I guess, that I noticed when I backed it out onto the road. I changed the tire by myself, of which I am exceedingly proud. It did take ( Read more... )

Day three of Holly starting out in her own bed. It was a bit of a cheat since when I got home, she was sleeping on Rick's lap on the couch, and I just transferred her to the toddler bed. But still. The night that she actually spends the whole night in her own bed... now that will be celebratory.

The girls weekend was very nice. We finally got the hot tub up into the 90s by running a hose from the utility sink and adding hot water, so a few of us spent some time in there. Wasn't ideal, but you make do.

Some Blarney
Holly rang in St Patrick's Day a few hours early with a fluorescent green diaper. This was likely the result of a dairy product overdose -- two tubes of yogurt, macaroni and cheese, ice cream, cheese sticks, and a couple glasses of milk today. It was pretty gross. Just when I think I am so on top of things, I get rudely reminded that every moment I'm balancing on the edge of the cliff. This morning Thea's and Faith's schools opened two hours late, so I carefully calculated when we needed to leave in order to stop at Dunkin Donuts before the school run. Snow day
A "freak" snowstorm came up and got the kids off school today. I had hoped that by March we'd be seeing more of the spring-like weather. On Friday it was in the 60s, although windy and drizzly. Then today, Monday -- several inches of snow and 20s. At least the days are starting to get longer, so that by the time I leave for work in the mornings ( Read more... )
