I wanted to post this on Valentine's Day but looks like I missed it by about half an hour. Anyway, over the past couple weeks I made notes of these rather random songs from my iTunes library -- songs I thought had romantic lyrics, interesting lines about love, or good pick-up lines. ;) Here they are in no particular order:

We dropped Thea off at the middle school this morning and she and over a hundred other kids, 5th grade and up, rehearsed all day for a 3 o'clock concert.  The idea behind it was to get the 5th graders interested in/excited about the middle school orchestra and band program, and to keep the middle school kids interested in continuing in music in ( Read more... )

Week over -- phew.  It wasn't my best week.  Unfortunately I don't see any great weeks coming up for me anytime soon.

Tomorrow Thea is going to some kind of elementary/middle school music festival that lasts all day.  Afterwards, she and Faith are going to a friend's house for a sleepover, so Holly and I get to look for something to do for the two ( Read more... )

All three kids watched the presidential inauguration today on TV, even Holly.  Reactions:

• Thea:  "It was good.  It was neat."
• Faith:  "It wasn't as interesting as I thought it was going to be."
• Holly, when asked, "Who is the president?" and prompted "President Ohhhhhh---":  "Oh-bob-bob!"
