Love, true love, is perhaps the most ridiculous of lies. Even the biological sensation can only last a short while. Afterward you get to spend a long and productive life of learning to hate someone you once "loved".

Perhaps the idealistic notion of "one true love" and fairy tale happy endings don't fit into the usual reality, but the definition of terms means little when people adapt them to their own experiences. Love is physical and mental attraction. However long it might last, it exists.
