You are allowed to be selfish on your birthday, right? Well, my birthday is on Monday. PLEASE DO NOT JUST POST "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" ON MY FACEBOOK WALL. It is a weird pet peeve; I do not like it. Such a Labor Day weekend! I needed it! My body basically shut down on me and I almost entirely slept through Saturday and half of Sunday, then barely moved the rest of the time. Despite my relentless optimism, I can't really say I'm having a good time right now. Intense family problems. My water heater just broke. Broken tooth, dental visit tomorrow. I live a wild, wild life
Jen is away for the weekend! Bachelor life is always fun... in small doses, anyway. I eat crap, I listen to crap, and I play a whole lot of video games. (All unsustainable behavior!) With any luck, weather is good and the pool is still open tomorrow... I'd like to go to Pittsburgh VegFest but I figure nobody I know is interested?!? (Certainly not ( Read more... ) -
work & life
About three weeks ago, my amazing boss resigned. Her last day is next week. Work has been crazy, and I've been dealing by rotating through overuse of caffeine and alcohol at different points in the day over the past week or two. Not bad in the short term but not sustainable. Happily I expect things to settle down soon, and maybe I can post more ( Read more... ) -

what a week!
Excitement! We've started using our pool. Slim Cessna's Auto Club is playing a show on Tuesday, and The Beagle Brothers & The Armadillos on FridaySomething really crazy, though?... Jen is going to Iceland for a week on Sunday. I love her dearly, but I've got to admit, it's kind of fun when she leaves for a few days. I listen to horrible music ( Read more... )
