Being around people who get my sense of humor again is such a huge relief.

I think the toughest habit to break from India so far has been how to interact with unfamiliar men in public. In India, every space is fairly explicitly gendered, and it's really hard for me to remember that in the US I'm not necessarily in a man's world when I'm moving around in public. I miss the fuck out of India when I hear airport jazz. Everything here is either quiet/boring or inconvenient. Airports in general bum me out but sterile American/European airports are probably the worst. Everything just reminds me of my (and everyone's) impending death. SURPRISE! It turns out I CAN go to Europe (I still have stones in my kidneys but not in my UT so I don't need surgery at least not now). Hooray!
I have exactly a week left in India and that is weird.

TENTATIVE DATES FOR TRAVEL AND SUMMER:
April 20-25: Copenhagen, staying with my friend (more my brother's friend, really) Mads' family. His parents are both weirdo artists and Mads' is a little punk 16 year old so this should be silly.

Guess what happened? I got kidney stones! It blew! I will write more about it in awhile. Everything is under control tho.

BUT at least, when I feel like all hope is lost and everyone in the world sucks, I can watch this amazing video/hear this amazing song and realize that no, some people in the world do in fact get it.

I'm in a low and I feel like I'm probably a horrible person and the only reason nobody told me is that everyone around me has developed a tolerance to how horrible I am and no longer realize it either.
