Things no one warns you about before you go to India but will define your experience there anyway:- Cars play songs when they are backing up instead of the beep-beep-beep of cars backing up in most other countries.

In the last two days I have pooped all the colors of the rainbow (not really but the variety is pretty staggering)! There are three bathrooms and about 20 people in the SITA center and at any given time at least two of the bathrooms are in use. It's pretty funny. -

I don't know if I have officially said this on here in a public entry but I think everyone who reads this probably knows anyway: I'm going to Southern India for four months starting tomorrow. I'm living with a family in Madurai and studying religion.

Yesterday's movie was Doubt. I imagine this was a really fabulous play. It's a mediocre movie. The performances are good (Viola Davis was especially good, in a cast where everyone else but her is known for being at the top of their game in terms of acting, she was the one who stood out to me), but it felt like it should have been a play, not a ( Read more... ) -

- just got over his crush on Miley Cyrus (when she posed for Vanity Fair he called his dad at work and my uncle thought it was some horrible emergency, my cousin kept going "HOW COULD SHE DO IT?!")

Tonight's movie was Crimes and Misdemeanors. I technically watched this a long time ago which excludes its candidacy for movie-a-day-vacation but it's been a looong time, and since the last time I watched it, I heard Bob Odenkirk rave about it.
