Today's movie was Synecdoche, NY. This is a really amazing script/screenplay; it's obvious. But the execution was a bit off for me. Slumdog Millionaire is like if Cidade de Deus was a feel good movie. Super great, fun to watch (as all Danny Boyle movies are; they all move at a really satisfying pace that makes them really good for rewatching), well acted (Anwar!!!! he's so great in this!), and really crowd pleasing without being sappy.
