I tried to set the desktop up today after work in order to try to print some files from it. No dice, although it is plugged in, it doesn't start.

My wife and I have been talking about this situation all weekend through today. We're taking the plunge and buying a HP laptop, which is now on order. It should arrive just after the first week of next month.

In the meantime, I'll use my old laptop, and set it up in my office when I need to print something, such as for next week's Speculators poetry workshop, or this weekend, as I input my grades to the District server and will need some hardcopy in front of me (I keep my gradebook on this laptop).

On weekends I'll set up here and leave it online so I can check mail and stuff more easily.
