So back late last fall I had either an ultrasound or CAT scan, don't remember which, that showed some possible oddity with my liver. My doctor referred me to a specialist, the type that usually does colonoscopies. Instead of going in that way he decided to in from the other end. Today I led a field trip to the Choosing to Participate (choosingtoparticipate.org) at the Western Reserve Historical Society. I took three classes, all 9th graders. So the fancy new laptop arrived yesterday. I generally like it, but I can see that moving old programs is not going to be easy. I've had to do one clean install instead of a restore, and I suspect more are coming. I've found one program that is incompatible with Windows 7, and there are probably others. Besides the computer problems that I've mentioned in another entry, I've also been plagued by problems with my 2002 Saturn L300. Since around Christmas I've had to replace its water pump, a significant part of its front end suspension, two tires, and alignment. That was around 2500 dollars.
