Beej, you last wrote "Recently I had to interview this girl for Camp America who had already been hired for Michigania. It was really hard because I had to write a whole report saying nice things about her, when I would not have hired her at all. She showed up 50 minutes late for the interview and didn't even acknowledge the fact that she was late at all." I am curious; Why did you "have to" write a review saying nice things when you would not have hired her? You have such a high integrity, I know you must have a good reason.
Did you get my story on the visit to Cambodia? And when are you and Greg coming to visit us?

This is a fair question. Basically what happened is that she was already hired by Michigania through "a friend of a friend" who worked at Michigania last year. So she has to apply through Camp America to get a visa. Because I worked at Michigania, Camp America send her to me to be interviewed. I actually wrote what I thought was a fairly honest repport. I said that she was late and then they emailed me and told me I'm not allowed to say anything anything negative. I indicated in my report that she had been hired for the wrong area, and she didn't seem to have any idea about the responsibility of the area she was hired for. I also suggested an area that she could be more appropriate for. Basically I was told that it's not really up to me to reccommend her, as she was already hired. So my opinion is not worth crap really

BJ- This is the first time I've ever used this new kind of communication and Becca had to show me how!!! It's actually pretty good, although I don't know if I have enough time to read all that you've written. You are a veracious writer. I just read a few entries. I'm happy to read how good you sound- happy with your camp job, hubbie, "children", etc.
I'm bummed about camp, though. We didn't go last year, and we were looking forward to this summer, although nervous about switching to week 8. Many of our cool week 10 campers are going week 8 this year too, so we won't be the only first timers, but now I'm worried about staff. Please try to get us some nice looking, well built Australian boys, OK??? Oh, and maybe a nice Aussie girl to ride with as well. Is that asking too much? I'm going to miss you, BJ. Love Debby
Yay Debby. You're here!! I'm so excited to hear from you. It's been way too long. Did you get the card that I finally got around to sending? I'm glad Becca is up on the technology so now you can share. I have been trying to update once a month, to prevent the mass email. Im starting to get into it. I didn't do any hiring for Michigania this year, so I refuse to accept responsibility for any of them. So good luck with that. Mel is the riding director, and she will take good care of you. Thanks for writing and keep in touch. Hope to hear all of your news soon! BJ xxx

Whew....it is nice to hear that you are still pulling fast ones over on teens. I can identify with the weird camp dreams. I have them and they still spook me as well. Sorry to hear about your interview with the sucky person. okay, must go.
