I think it's really sad the way so many women hate the way they look. I really do. But ya know what? I think it's pretty shitty that so many women feel the need to make fun of other women in order to feel better about themselves

You're right. It's ridiculous. I can't believe someone told you that. People seem to forget that we are born with all kinds of body types. It took a while for me to stop hiding my curves.
Next time someone says you need to go eat a sandwich.
Ask them if that's an offer to treat you to lunch. That'll shut 'em up. However, you probably handled it the best way.
I'm glad someone out there is a real woman who appreciates themselves for who they are. I'm workin' on it.

That's a brilliant idea and if anyone ever says anything like that again, I'm going to say that. I love that. Classy and to the point.
Thing is, I spent years and years hating my body and torturing it through EDs. It was fucking hard to learn to stop loathing the way I look and to accept myself, and it makes me see red when other people try to make me feel bad about the way I look (especially since my body is definitely in a healthy weigh range) because I remember clearly when a statement like that would either elate me or send me to the bathroom to cry. And it makes me even angrier because it's so fucking common that most people don't even think about it. So it's not a vanity thing, though I'm sure some people would take it that way. I am what I am, and that's all there is to it.
I wish I could have told her to fuck off, but she was a customer. After she said that I pretty much just stared at her for a moment, then turned around and finished making her drink.
And don't get me started on women's clothing companies. Five years ago I could tell you what my size was and could go in and pick something out without too much of a hassle. Now I can be anywhere from an extra small to a medium, from a 0 to an 8, and apparently they think all women my size have big tits, no ass, no waist, and wee little stick arms. Bizarre thing is, though I've put on muscle in the past few months, I really haven't changed that much in the past five years. Clothes I bought then still fit about the same. And when I look at how ridiculously ugly most clothes are now, I can only conclude that the fashion world has collectively lost its mind.
Can I get a veggie sub from Blimpie's? I luv their veggie subs. You gotta tell them to go light on the lettuce though, if you're getting them with everything: because they'll fall to pieces.
No, man, it's all about Firehouse. Their italian sub is the best sandwichy thing that has ever landed in my mouth. If she'd been offering that, well, shit, I'd have taken it. Mmm. ::drool:: I love food.
