Its me, from the LJ community that you spammed. Thanks for deleting the post.. we get alot of spammers, and while some are well intentioned (such as yours) we get alot of porn, etc., and we all are VERY touchy about it. But join the community if you already havent.. its awesome.

I came over from darksideofebay. I tried to respond over there, but your posts keep getting deleted. Anyway, I don't think that it's anything against you personally, it's just that we get a lot of spammers at the darksideofebay and people are fed up with it. If you want to promote your auctions, that's fine, but it's not appropriate to promote them in that community. It isn't a selling community - it's a community for making fun of all of the really weird/lame/stupid shit that people try to sell on eBay. Here are some samples of what would be appropriate there:

* a grilled cheese sandwich that has the image of the Virgin Mary on it
* an empty jar that supposedly has a ghost inside
* campy western movies from the 60's wherein all of the actors and actresses are midgets - bonus points if it's an adult film
* taxidermied animals in humorous sexual positions
* angry parents selling their children's favorite toys because the children had misbehaved
* painting from truly inept artists
* an ashtray shaped like a penis
* chick boy! (see my icon)

Its ok :-) no hard feelings, it's late over here and i just wanted to promote my shop in some new communities, but got a little sidetracked of course. Sorry about that.
