I am the greatest!!  I've lost over 42 lbs!!

oh, and yah, *I* didn't lose 42 lbs, Lola did!  Everyone celebrate!

I wrote this really long journal entry and then I CLOSED it by accident and it was totally erased. I was mortified because I had poured my heart and soul into it!! Everything is humming along quite nicely out here, though it is very cold these days. Buzz had a 'camp out' in the gym for Beavers last night and was thrilled to 'camp' with his friends. It was the summer of 1990 when a bunch of friends and I decided to drive up to Brampton to see the progress of the new Toronto temple which was still under construction. We had a wonderful weekend in Palmyra and I should record a couple of my favourite moments so that I can reflect on them later. We drove down to New York with my kidlets and parents-in-law and camped at our regular campsite, "Cheerful Valley" - a place we've been going to now for 13 years! Everyone piled into my van the other night and we took off for a slumber party sleepover near Fenlon Falls. I have such an awesome job - I just love it so much! I worked 1/2 day on Tuesday teaching the grade one class I had taught for 3 weeks straight back in September and it was a nice way to end the year to see how they had grown over the course of the year. There is something quite therapeutic about getting down into the earth and really working the soil and tending to plants and flowers in the garden. I am not very good at it, but every year I learn a little bit more and things in my yard look a little better. I have been spending so much time and effort on my stake calling that I haven't done enough in the ward one and I need to make a concerted effort to do so. Sometimes I feel like I'm a little spread thin but then I catch myself and stop immediately. I CAN do more.
