Bring on the veggies!

I've never been a fierce carnivore. But ive always said we have the teeth, we are SUPPOSED to eat meat.. So that got me thinking, do i eat meat because i LIKE it? Or do i eat it because I'm supposed to like it.  So i think its time for a bit of an experiment. For ONE week Im going to try a vegetarian diet. You should be fine! I love meat, but have gone without meat for months without ever noticing. And for a week, you don't have to worry overly much about a nutrient imbalance. Just focus on the good foods and you'll be fine. ^_^

oh, here's something easy that I really enjoyed: I steamed lentils and quinoa together. then I added a decent amount of olive oil, some salt and cut up pieces of soy hot dogs and mixed in. yum!

Of course, if Nick is a meatarian, then that would be difficult.
we'll just have to plan appropriate foods for you this wendesday.

=) that DOES sound yummy. I think a shopping trip to sprouts is in order. Yes! nick is definatly a "meatarian" he said that now this just gives him a excuse to go on his "anti vegan diet". He wants to make up for the amount of meat i won't be eating. lol

Beans are excellent sources of protein and if you can make a decent re-fried bean and cheese burrito then I'd be set for life. But that's just me.

OMG you really need to try making refried beans with cream cheese. Its seriously AMAZING. And i made black bean burgers for dinner tonigt and it soo good!
