have you considered that god didn't bring back Cas, that maybe Michael did ( ... )

And cas went from benign and mostly useless to incredibly kickass, which makes me suspect that something changed, that his death allowed him to regain something, he was put back good as new and that something had been lost, not his faith, something in his strength.

I think that it was God, because we know that God is going to be an actual
character this season. And even though Cas has been depowered a bit I think that the fact that God has finally made an appearance is what gave him back his faith. I have always assigned Cas' loss of faith to be the reason that he was so week - why else would an angle who fought through Hell suddenly get his ass handed to him by Alistair or Uriel? I propose that an angel's power is equal to his faith. So even though Cas has less power [we know from spoilers that he has been depowered a bit] he has more faith and he can do more with what power he has.

we're missing something, and I can't help but feel that the vital piece of info that we're meant to have is something kripke is holding close to his ( ... )

Wasn't Sam also brought back from death by Dean? So far as I'm able to understand, though, SAM = SAMAEL, The 2nd Angel of the Apocalypse.

Also Castiel is sooooo not Switzerland, you have to look at the etymology of his name and then it gets ridiculous. I'll be posting an essay about it later tonight actually.

Though the idea that Cas=Mikey is COOOOOOL. Gives a whole new meaning to the sword and sheath thing doesn't it?! LOL

'Also, how hilarious was it that de-powered Cas was ten times more kickass than powered Cas? Like, he took out two angels and scared Zach shitless. Awesome.'
I know! It was awesome! My theory is that Cas was weak before because he had doubt (didn't know what was right or wrong) but now that he has no doubt (he knows the angels are wrong) he's much stronger.

'Speaking of awesome, Dean is indeed Michael's sword - the archangel Michael's vessel - which is so, so cool and something I know many of us have been predicting for a while.'
I thought that too. It puts Cas' whole 'I thought you would be able to hear me because special people can hear my true voice' speech to Dean in Lazarus Rising in a new context.

'P.P.S. Is it just me or is God a Dean/Cas fangirl? Why else would she resurrect the angel after he was . . . uh . . . touched by an Archangel?'
Yep, totally a fangirl. That just made me laugh. Don't you mean groped by an Archangel.

'Honestly at this point I think Castiel is going to step up and fill in Sam's place as the person ( ... )

YES! I feel exactly the same way.

I just hope that Dean doesn't because completely dependent on Cas the way he was on Sam. I've always wanted Dean to stand on his own.
I don't think he could be that co-dependent on anyone but Sam, thankfully that looks like its finished!

I just knew we were right about Dean<->Michael and I loved how Dean has to give Michael permission to take him as a vessel - That reminded me so much of Jimmy<->Cas. In the end I do think that Dean will give in - I want my Dean as Michael *STAMPS FEET*

I'm not so sure it was either Lucifer, Michael or God who put Dean & Sam on the plane and gave Cas back his life. I think it's the same (yet unknown) source that also gave Anna her human body back.

Mark is gonna be totally awesome as Lucifer!

And Dean will totally give in eventually, in which case - Zach better run and we'll finally know who's on top Dean or Cas ;)

I cannot think of anything more BAMF than Michael!Dean.
