I don't think I can take the fact that each episode keeps getting better and better. My heart might explode from SQUEE.

I must agree to the Dean sleeping in his clothes thing. It would be totally awkward to be teleported around in his underwear, especially since we all know he's actually wearing panties underneath his jeans. There's a reason he doesn't walk around in his boxers(he doesn't wear them!)

No, Stephanie Meyer did not write that scene, if she had, there would be butterflies, rainbows, and far more heterosexuality, not to mention Dean would be the "perfect" gentleman or maybe he'd be the ditsy idiot girl. I'd go with the ditsy idiot girl, he's too pretty to be Edward, and too manly.

Dude, I told you Dean is going to become Michael. He's going to become Michael and become a vegetable and the end of the show is going to be Sam being all happy off with the family he starts when the apocalypse is over while Dean lies in some hospital bed dead to the world with Castiel sitting in the chair by his bed, trying to feed him jello or something.

I'm seeing from Cas are all about Dean as opposed to humanity in general, so I could totally buy that he'd looking for a loophole to Dean letting Michael in because he doesn't want Dean to end up like Raphael's vessel.

It was interesting to see that past!Dean assumed that Cas would be the most important person to future!Dean, the person the he would want to protect the most. For me this came through most clearly when future!Dean revealed to past!Dean that he was going to send people to die as decoys and p!Dean said, "Even Cas?"
SO GLAD I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO SAW THAT. "Even Cas?" That just... I mean, it speaks volumes, regardless of how you choose to look at it, doesn't it? Clearly, they are important to one another - even to Past!Dean. This makes me happy. I am pleased.

Why has no one nominated Jensen Ackles for an Emmy yet?
Amen! I was so impressed with his acting in this episode - particularly that scene; he really stepped it up. I think that may have added to the initially awkward appearance of Sam!Lucy; Jensen was just so on, poor Jared had a hard time matching it.

I feel that way all the time . . . I practically wince when there's the rare scene with Dean, Cas, and Sam because then it really -really- shows at times that JP is still growing as an actor.

This ship is so canon. That was a really, really touching scene - you're right, it was tender.

It was one of the most poignant moments that I've seen on show in a while.

what I liked about the 'even Cas?' question was how f!Dean seemed a but guilty and sad after that - like he didn't like it or something....

as usual, the ep. made me half-incoherent, so I'm not sure if I'm making any sense...

and the 'don't ever change' *sigh* Dean looked so grateful and Cas so full of devotion -- that ship is so canon!
(though, Dean really is building up his courage to give him a hug, isns't he? first doing his buttons and his tie, now a clasp on teh shoulder - give him two more eps. and he might even manage that hug we're waiting for *G*)

Yes, I totally agree with that. F!Dean was affected by it, even if he pushed it aside because he felt he had to.

I think you're right. Every episode he gets a little more comfortable with Castiel, a little more touchy, even, and I think that, at some point, the hug will come. And I can wait all season for it, as long as we get it. XD We know he wants to, he just needs to man up and do it already!

Let's see . . . we're also missing: pie sharing, blanket sharing, teaching Cas to drive, take Cas shopping, teach Cas to fight, aaaand waking up drunk and hungover together. LOL. WE'LL SEE IT ALL! THE SEASON IS JUST GETTING STARTED!!

Why doesn't Michael try and talk to Dean in some way himself? Like he could have a weaker vessel or appear to him in dreams or w/e. Like it just makes me think he's the biggest asshole, lol

I don't think Michael can take a weaker vessel. He's stronger than Lucifer who is barely contained by his temporary vessel. In fact vessels that can contain them are so rare that Luci had to have his vessel [Sammy] made by the YED.

ohh yeah that's right, Sam did get altered. but he could still communicate w/ him in his sleep or reach out to him directly in some way. it's not impossible, he just thinks he's above that.

Why do you assume an angel stuck on the celestial plane would be able to speak to Dean in his dreams? We've never seen evidence that an angel without a vessel can dreamwalk. Furthermore, we've seen that for whatever reason when an angel is their "pure" form tries to talk to Dean he can't hear them and in fact his eyes and ears start to bleed - maybe that's why Michael can't talk to Dean as well.
