Duuuuude. Yes. To everything. I usually like Pam, but she really grated on me this episode, and I wasn't quite sure why. She just seemed kinda OOC to me for some reason.
Also, I totally expected Cas to turn at the end, look at Dean with sudden, dawning recognition, and whisper "you." I wanted it soooo bad it hurts me that it didn't happen.
Yeah, I usually love Pam . . . but her whole POV this episode had me goggling at the screen, "Oh - it's OK for the majority of the human race to die! ISN'T HEAVEN SHINY?!"

Huh. I know the origin of Joshua and his name and it's connections to the spelling of Jesus. It could be that Joshua is God, but it doesn't feel right - if that makes any sense. I think they had plans to show God but then since Show was continued they realized that God was a series ender (can't top that) and so this is what we received instead. For me Joshua acted as a Metatron.
Oooh, I always love your reviews! I've got to say, I was at first more than a bit "meh" about this episode, since there were so many things which could have gone wrong... and in the end? I can't remember the last episode where I cried this much.
Your points are also very good, especially your number 8! It was awesome! Not to mention your number 6, which had me somehow squeeing in delight, soul mates! Makes a lot of sense for those two. I was wondering if I understood it correctly when I was watching the episode.
The second part of your third and fourth point, I completely missed them when I was watching the episode but in retrospect, they sound really likely.
All in all, this exceeded my expectations by far. Please stay this awesome, show!
OMFG - THE SOUL MATES LINE?! I diiiiiiiiied. No joke. Thank God for DVR since I rewound that a few times because I thought I'd missheard!!! Heeeeeeeee. Gotta love it when the writers toss us a line like that!!
