Costa Rica over the summer for about three weeks to observe and do a field study on primates.

uw-madison is a little weird because departments do things differently; the english department had one single advisor for every subfield (TESOL, creative writing, composition, etc.) which is really stupid if you think about it. whereas, the anthropology department (which is probably because it's fairly small) matches you up with a professor with your same academic interests and they guide you along.
when you go to your next school, go study in korea. :* going somewhere foreign is fun.
