I hope everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day as much as I did. :j Between seeing a "sibling" (best friend's younger sister, technically) and spending time with A Certain Someone, I know I had a good time. - How much is the rent? When is it due? What method of payment do they prefer (personal check, cash, whatever)? What is the late payment penalty? If you don't get the check mailed in time, where should you drop it off before the deadline ( ... )

Gosh, there's something else I know I asked about termination but I don't remember how I worded it. If I remember, I'll post again. It was something about my renting history record and how negatively would it reflect on me if the situation warranted lease termination.

I was going to comment, but I think wither has pretty much said it all! I'm looking at a house on Tuesday and I'm pretty desperate to get it, so I'll be thinking of you.

Make sure you ask how utilities work, for sure, and I really like the question about making sure you wouldn't have to cover another roommate's rent. Joint leases are no fun in that respect, but they are quite common.

yw man it's rough when you're just starting :(

i don't even have a lot of experience with it. it took me living with two people who hated me to really think of the right questions to ask the next guy in case i decided to get a new roommate who hated me. (re: alison)
