Ah, well, my other favorite two books are The Last Unicorn, and Jane Eyre, which we've discussed, and I think you'd enjoy both. I'm reading both The Thirteenth Tale and Crime and Punishment now, and enjoying the two of them very much. I also just started a series of murder mysteries by Dorothy Sayers (The Lord Peter Wimsey books), and the first one wass snarky and witty and light-hearted and altogether fantastic.
Have fun with Behemoth Woland The Master and Margarita!

As far as examples go, I'll have to go back and pick out the specific lines, but it's just a little tic I've noticed of a lot of Russian writers (Dostoevsky in The Brothers Karamazov and Nabokov in Lolita are who I'm referring to mostly).
I'll have to look at the other two, though. So far I am enjoying Master and Margarita so I'll be trustful of your literary judgment. :*

I started the Master and the Margarita last summer, but never finished it-tell me if you like it or not.

So far, I'm enjoying it. I've got a lot to go yet, but I generally really like it at this point (granted, I'm only 6 chapters in.)
