Aw, shit.
This chapter is awesome. Especially the reason why Dean's mute. Jesus, that one packed a punch. So very good. I loved that he went back to the graves to dig them up, too. And Missouri, brilliant as ever. :D

Thanks! And, yeah, I'm thinking "Aw, shit." is a pretty good summation. . . . ;D

What an awesome chapter! I was afraid for Carrie after the last one, had no clue Dan was going to die, too!

And those poor boys, both of them. Sniffle.

Your Missouri was spot on!

Man, for some reason it didn't compute that both Dan and Carrie were going to get ganked. And Dean, with his abandonment issues getting stronger at every turn... I just.
The whole chapter was a punch to the gut, and the rift between the brothers genuinely scares me....Just the fact that Sam accused Dean of letting Jess die was painful, but I think that realizing just how hurt Sam is over Dean's secrets is just heartbreaking.

Such an awesome universe. You have Missouri's voice penned to a T. Really beautiful characterizations and plot as usual. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for reading! And yeah, Sam's trust in Dean has been thoroughly shaken, but he's trying like hell to build it back up. . . .

And I love writing Missouri, though I don't do it that often. She's got this great combination of motherly instincts and no-nonsense attitude.

Dayum...

I've finally caught up on this series, and I have to tell you that I love how you set up Dean's muteness. At first I thought it was just a fun aside that Mary had the same power as Andy, but... man. That was a nicely placed punch to the gut.

Thanks! I'm still finding out myself how much Dean's muteness is due to Mary using just a touch of mind-control and Dean just being stubborn enough to follow the last order his mother gave him no matter what. It's really fascinating to me, and I'm glad that other people are finding it so, too.
