got my car back from the transmission shop tonight. they drove it here - 65 or so miles from santa rosa. and when i took it out for the first time to drive somewhere close by - the transmission is slipping. i bought a venus flytrap at the store today.
i cannot deal with the sheer ugly factor of more traditional methods of fly removal like fly strips. for reasons i cannot seem to articulate that doubtless have to do with it being Nature's Way, the creepy predatory flora route seems somehow preferable. hey, they're natural enemies!

- i've received three automated calls 'updating' my service arrival time.  the first one was moving it up by 15 minutes, then moving it back by an hour, then back by another 15.
