New things and rambling

So, I got my hair cut. Short. I haven't had short hair since I was old enough to protest the fact. It feels fine, it just looks weird as all hell and I haven't a clue what to do with it. And anyone who says that getting a haircut isn't a big deal is full of it. Hair = persona a good chunk of the time, which is why so many people cry when they get ( Read more... )

Congrats on the haircut, mate. I sheared mine off a while back, something I'd been leery of doing since a vacation when I was a teenager where everyone kept referring to me as 'son' or 'young man' even though I'd already started to grow what turned out to be a fairly sizable, ah, rack. Oddly enough, this time around I really didn't feel anything about getting rid of the ponytail. The first time, though, that hurt. Even though I wanted to get the hair cut off... it did make me feel insecure. Naked, as you said. This time, it was like... okay, nbd. ::shrugs:: I'm not entirely sure why it never registered emotionally. Now the most I feel about my hair is when it gets too long and my sister said it made me look like Justin Bieber. Then I'm subtly annoyed. Anyway. I'd be interested to see what you look like with short hair as I can't really picture it.

I'm not surprised you were okay with the hair thing, you always struck me as being more secure than I was. ::snicker:: Justin Bieber? Seriously? Ouch. I've got a chin-length bob, which doesn't tell you much, I realize. I KNOW that somehow I should be able to take pictures with the camera on my computer, but I haven't been able to figure out how. Maybe I can do it on my phone. Thanks for writing me back :)

I hate cutting my hair. Every time. Makes my head feel cold and too light. I actually get too much of that this time of year anyway, everyone always asks me if I lost weight every time I lose the sweatshirts as it is.

It's too early for a mid-life crisis, but I understand many people have one somewhere in the 28-32 yr old range anyway, a minor "oh god I'm 30" crisis.

So long as you're happy, we all are too! hope you're well!
