Computer parts pried apart with claw-crackers, costume jewelry sucked down like oysters on the half-shell PERFECT connotative description. Also, oddly enough, this scene reminds me of work - on a busy day in the ICU when I am running up and down the corridor to chase down supplies, doctors and pharmacists, there are a few patients well enough to eat a real meal and the savory smells are torture when I know it will be an hour or more until I can get away for my own meal.
