RIP Steve
Almost exactly a year ago, Karl, one of my best friends from highschool died from a massive heart attack. Tonight I found out that another good friend from highschool, Steve, took his own life on Thursday. Very sad. I don't know any details, I haven't seen him since before I left for the Army in 94. Today is the day
Busy day ahead. Breakfast soon, then last minute errands, then my wife will be checking into the hospital. Somewhere around 7pm my son is scheduled to be delivered (c-section). Can't wait to see him. -
Happy New Year
Well, 2009 didn't totally suck. I'm still employed. I still got a raise, although I didn't get the usual Christmas bonus. I got a totally awesome vintage guitar for my birthday (oh yes, 1983 Gibson Les Paul Custom, so sweet). I got a kick-butt vintage amp for Christmas (1980 Kustom Studio 6-valve, 150w tube amp). Those darn netnazis have gone and done it this time. They've blocked everything that uses message-board type stuff. They've blocked LJ. They've blocked everything from Blogger, everything from Blogspot. City of Heroes is blocked. How dare they? How am I supposed to get any work done if I can't surf the internets for non-work-related stuff? -
Long time, no post
Yes, it's been forever. I keep writing/rewriting my EOY/Post Holiday Spectacular post... it keeps getting longer and longer. And less and less likely to actually be written. I dunno, maybe I'll get around to it one day ( Read more... )
