Isaac Hayes dead at 65. To me he was a visionary genius of soul music. He will be missed.

It's been quite a week, hasn't it? I heard about this on my flight home today.

Oh man, his music on Stax was groundbreaking. Hot Buttered Soul is a masterpiece.

So I know this is a sad post. And Isaac Hayes's passing is sad. But I've been listened to Pandora.com the Music Genome Project and Bonnie Raitt has been popping up and I am pretty much in love. So next time to see Bonnie, tell her I am in love with her.

I'll be seeing her this coming Saturday, in fact. So glad you're enjoying her! Be sure to go see her live sometime. I'm sure you'll love her!

Her Best Of Collection on Capitol or The Bonnie Raitt Retrospective on Warner Bros. are good places to start.

Any idea what song it was that almost made you weep? I'm gonna guess it was "I Can't Make You Love Me"?

She's a great woman. I am quite thankful for her existance myself.
