I turned on the television last night and was assaulted with the news that Studio 28 was closing. I say assaulted because the news was like a punch to the gut. Dramatic? Maybe. But this place was a huge part of my childhood ( Read more... )

I can feel for you. I remember when our drive-in closed. I remember when we'd go there and us kids would sit on the roof of the station wagon and eat popcorn. Great times.

I coulda sworn we've talked about it. My fave teachers were Eleanor Keur and Roz Cantor. Did you have them?

I had Mrs. Keur. For Advanced English and she was the director of all the plays. She and I got along sometimes, and butted heads quite a bit. :)

Always a shame when a part of your personal history goes away. I'm amazed when I drive through my hometown and see how the storefronts have changed, and know that those places I loved are gone ...

God forbid I should ever get back to Cuba. I'd probably hang myself. LOL
